Share a Friend
(Submission Form Below)

At True Friends, nothing makes us happier than seeing one of our very deserving animals find their forever home.  Sometimes though it takes a little (or even a lot) longer to place them, but we continue to serve as a safe haven and often the best home some of them have ever known.

To support these long time residents, we have created the SHARE A FRIEND program.  For just $25 a month you can become a faithful friend to one of these needy animals.  Your contribution will be used directly for the care of your sponsored pet which includes medical care, food, and daily maintenance.

How many of us have said, “I wish I could take them all home?”  Now you can do the next best thing by becoming a SHARE A FRIEND.  Through your monthly support, you will join us in our mission to keep our True Friend’s pets safe, healthy, and happy until that wonderful day comes when they too are adopted into their very own family.

We ask you to pick one(or generously more) of our dogs or cats below to be your faithful friend.  As their friend, you will be provided with periodic updates & photos. Your name will also be proudly displayed by your friend at the shelter.   We also encourage you to stop by and visit your pet at the shelter anytime.  Finally, once your friend does get it’s chance, you will be notified of their adoption.

Together we can give them a family at True Friends!

Meet Grady, a 4 year old, neutered, beautiful Boxer Mix.  Grady has been at our shelter for 3 years.  Although he loves his True Friends family, he dreams everyday of a comfortable, quiet home all is own.  Grady is very affectionate and fun-loving, but really needs a structured adult family.  If you could be that special someone, please consider our Grady boy!

Handsome  Rajah is now officially our longest feline resident at the shelter having been at True Friends since almost 4 years.  He  5 years old, neutered, and would love to spend the rest of his life sitting next to you!

For reasons unknown to us, Atticus has gone overlooked at TF for almost a year now. Obviously patient, good on a leash, playful, and easy going, this 4 year old, neutered, Lab mix would do best in a home where he is the only canine member. Atticus does seem to be good with felines and is also very people focused. This sleek black beauty would love to spend the rest of his life in a real home.

This is Trini, apetit, shy little cat, with the sweetest face! She tends to stay in thebackground in our ‘Romper Room’ and so has been overlooked by prospectiveadopters. At four years old, she still retains much of her kittenish looks, andgets along well with her other roommates. Won’t you consider giving her aforever home of her own? Trini is spayed, mirco-chipped and vaccinated.

Meet Shyane, a 10 year, spayed, lady who has been waiting for so very long to find the love(loves) of her life.  Shyane is an active senior who enjoys long strolls and would be a faithful companion and walking partner.  She could be a remarkable friend for someone who could use the extra company!

Nazira’s exotic name, meaning ‘radiant beauty,’ describes this queen of a cat perfectly! With exotic calico markings, her regal posture belies her personality as one who is ‘aboveit all.’ Although a member of our ‘Romper Room Colony,’ Nazira is very much herown cat. Nazira is spayed, micro-chipped and vaccinated. She is between 3 and 4years old. Can you give this royal cat the domain and care she deserves?

Hank originally came to our shelter as a stray in 2015 and was adopted 1 year later. Unfortunately, after being with a family that he really loved for an entire year and of no fault of his own, Hank was brought back to our shelter once again. This was such a disappointment for our True Friend’s family and especially for Hank. This very sweet boy is about 5 years old, neutered, housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and loves to play fetch. Even though he has had so many ups and downs in life, Hank is a very upbeat kind of guy that could brighten anybody’s day. Hank would do best in a home where he is the only pet, but he is wonderful with children. If you are in need of a loyal, family friend, please consider giving Hank a chance!

Jetta is one of our longest residents at the shelter having been here 3 1/2 years. She is shy and not a fan of being picked up, but is still much deserving of a home all her own! Jetta is 4 years and spayed.
