Share a Friend
(Submission Form Below)
At True Friends, nothing makes us happier than seeing one of our very deserving animals find their forever home. Sometimes though it takes a little (or even a lot) longer to place them, but we continue to serve as a safe haven and often the best home some of them have ever known.
To support these long time residents, we have created the SHARE A FRIEND program. For just $25 a month you can become a faithful friend to one of these needy animals. Your contribution will be used directly for the care of your sponsored pet which includes medical care, food, and daily maintenance.
How many of us have said, “I wish I could take them all home?” Now you can do the next best thing by becoming a SHARE A FRIEND. Through your monthly support, you will join us in our mission to keep our True Friend’s pets safe, healthy, and happy until that wonderful day comes when they too are adopted into their very own family.
We ask you to pick one(or generously more) of our dogs or cats below to be your faithful friend. As their friend, you will be provided with periodic updates & photos. Your name will also be proudly displayed by your friend at the shelter. We also encourage you to stop by and visit your pet at the shelter anytime. Finally, once your friend does get it’s chance, you will be notified of their adoption.
Together we can give them a family at True Friends!
Meet Grady, a 7 year old, neutered, beautiful Boxer Mix. Grady has been at our shelter for 6 years. Although he loves his True Friends family, he dreams everyday of a comfortable, quiet home all his own. Grady is very affectionate and fun-loving, but really needs a structured adult-only home. He may do okay with a calm canine sibling, but Grady needs a home without cats or kids. If you could be that special someone, please consider our Grady boy
Hi I am Marcy! I came to the shelter as a kitten! I am very scared but I can still be petted. I have been here for my whole life and I am over 5 years old! Please consider adopting me. I am UTD on shots, spayed, and micro-chipped!
For reasons unknown to us, Atticus has gone overlooked at TF for over two years year now. Obviously patient, good on a leash, playful, and easy going, this five year old, neutered, Lab mix would do best in a home where he is the only canine member. Atticus does seem to be good with felines and is also very people focused. This sleek black beauty would love to spend the rest of his life in a real home.
Hi! I’m Nadine! I am spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped! I have been here since August of 2016! When I first came in, I preferred to be the only furry friend in the castle, but I may do okay with another feline friend! I am a sassy girl, but I’m allowed to be, look how pretty I am!! Please consider adding me to your family! I would love to finally have a home of my own!
Meet sweet Libby, a 5 year old spayed girl who has been waiting since July of 2016. She is a very quiet, patient girl that just watches everyone around her come and go. Libby loves people, but needs to be in a home without other animals. She is happy to sit on the couch and just hang out with you. She deserves a home where she is loved for the rest of her life.
Jeremy came in when he was just 8 weeks old with his sister, Torie, to the right. That was more than two years ago. He likes to be petted, but doesn’t really like being picked up. We would really love to see him get a home of his own. He is UTD, altered, and microchipped. Please give him the chance he deserves.
My name is Hope and do I have a story to tell! I was dumped on Interstate 81 after having a litter of puppies over two years ago. I was terrified! Some human took my babies and left me on the side of the highway! It’s a miracle I wasn’t struck by a car! When I was found I wasn’t very trusting of people, but the people here at True Friends have been really patient and kind to me. I have learned to trust people, although it does take me some time, but I am so ready for a forever home. Being in a kennel isn’t my favorite place, so please ask to take me for a walk. I love to play! I HOPE you have room in your heart and home for me!
Hi! I’m Torie! Just like my brother, Jeremy, I have been at the shelter since I was just 8 weeks old! We are now over two years old. I am scared but please give me a chance! I like other cats, and I am negative for FIV/FeLV, spayed, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped!
